Job Summary
Service Manager at Arlington Properties leads and trains the on-site maintenance team to manage apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair. Ensures 24-hour response to service requests, prepares market-ready apartments within 3–5 days, maintains detailed maintenance logs and inventory, and coordinates with the Community Manager on budgeting, project planning, and vendor relations. Maintains safety and Fair Housing compliance, provides on-call emergency response, and supports preventative maintenance programs and inspections. Requires hands-on maintenance experience with leadership ability, strong communication and organizational skills, EPA/CFC certification, and a valid driver’s license. The role emphasizes accountability for resident satisfaction and operational excellence through proactive maintenance management and team leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- EPA or CFC certification required
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
