Job Summary
Perform multipoint inspections, service universal joints, and lubricate moving parts using grease guns. Inspect fluid levels in steering gears and transmissions, check tire pressure, and drain oil from crankcases before refilling. Replace oil and air filters, add water to radiators and batteries, and communicate additional service needs to service advisors. Adhere to all safety standards and company policies while operating an automobile with a valid Texas driver's license. Requires occasional exposure to inclement weather and physical demands including prolonged standing and stooping. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
- Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
- valid Texas driver license
- ability to operate manual transmissions
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a technician's helper or apprentice
