Job Summary
Service Line Lead Surgical Technologist responsible for daily section operations in the OR service line, ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available for scheduled surgeries. Coordinates instrument needs, sets par levels, and collaborates with physicians, scheduler, and managers. Leads staff orientation with Nurse Clinician, addresses equipment concerns, and participates in budgeting and item procurement. Maintains professional relationships with physicians, rounds to assess needs, updates preference cards, and contributes to performance and quality improvement initiatives in Surgical Services (OR) under AORN/RCH guidelines. Requires Associates Degree in Surgical Technology with 2+ years of experience; CST certification (or equivalent) preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Surgical Technology
- Certification in Surgical Technology (within 12 months of hire)
- 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - CST/AST/NCCT/NBSTSA preferred
