Job Summary
Plan, assign, and organize the daily workload within the service department to exceed work-in-progress goals. Coach and lead a team of service technicians, providing technical support and problem resolution for machine diagnoses. Prepare quotes for customers and assist in technician recruitment while delivering performance feedback. Ensure all assigned work completes on time, submit warranty and product improvement programs, and control lost time to meet corporate goals. Work effectively as a team to solve customer issues and achieve business metrics. Participate in rotating weekends, Saturday rotation, and an on-call program.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience as a John Deere Licensed Service Technician
- Self-Motivated and strong organizational skills
- Ability to lead a team through change
- Participation in rotating weekends, Saturday rotation, and on-call program
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Participation in Saturday rotation and on-call program
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products
- General understanding of mechanical/technical terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and John Deere programs
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to self-manage, demonstrate leadership, and coach team members effectively
- Willingness to attend training as required
- Familiarity with John Deere and competitive agricultural equipment
- General understanding of mechanical and technical terms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, lead, and manage a team effectively
- Prior experience in a service leadership or supervisory role within agriculture or equipment service
