Job Summary
The Service Journeyman is responsible for coordinating service activities, installing sign equipment, resolving technical issues, and performing repairs. Key duties include delivering and maintaining serviced signs, operating lift equipment for service assessments, troubleshooting and repairing sign equipment, performing electrical troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and quality control during service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, extensive experience in electrical sign service, and successful completion of an apprenticeship program. The position involves outdoor work and may require lifting heavy materials.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Eight or more years of demonstrated experience in electrical sign service
- Four or more years of demonstrated experience in power tool operation, welding, electrical, or related areas
- Completion of the YESCO or other electrical sign service apprenticeship program
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and government coding documents
- Ability to apply geometric and algebraic mathematical calculations
- Valid CDL Driver’s License

- Must maintain a drug-free workplace
- Must pass drug tests for marijuana
