Job Summary
Delivers serviced signs and equipment by driving YESCO vehicles to customer locations, restocking parts, and operating lift equipment for assessments and repairs. Installs new or modified equipment, troubleshoots electrical signs and structures, and performs welding, cutting, and fabrication to ensure functionality. Analyzes inspection findings to recommend corrective actions, coordinates pricing quotes with sales, and completes work orders for documentation. Responds to emergency service calls, performs preventative maintenance on department equipment, and trains new apprentices while maintaining safety standards. Requires a valid CDL, eight years of electrical sign service experience, and willingness to travel including overnight stays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Eight or more years of demonstrated experience in electrical sign service
- Four or more years of demonstrated experience in power tool operation, welding, electrical, or related areas
- Completion of the YESCO or other electrical sign service apprenticeship program
- Any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Ability to read, interpret, and apply specification documents, government coding document information, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to apply geometric and algebraic mathematical calculations
- Ability to move, lift, and carry materials, equipment, parts, and completed projects
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Valid CDL Driver's License or the ability to obtain one
- Willingness to travel including overnight stays
- Must be able to occasionally move objects in excess of 75 lbs
- Distance vision, clarity of vision at 20 inches or less; and ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus
