Job Summary
SERVICE & INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and support of financial equipment and related systems for banking customers. Duties include diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing ATM/ITM/TCR and other equipment; preventative maintenance; stage, test, and deploy equipment; install and configure software, firmware, and operating systems; provide on-site and remote customer support; rig and install heavy banking equipment and related branch hardware; transport and move equipment; maintain service records and inventory; communicate with customers and train users as required. Requires mechanical/electronic/trades background, ability to lift heavy loads, and willingness to travel (base in Mandan/Bismarck, ND region with ND/SD/MT/MN travel).
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to drive a vehicle, day and night, and pass an annual driving test.
- Able to pass a non-DOT drug screening test.
- Must be able to lift 50-200 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, squat and twist in various positions while servicing equipment.
- Must be able to read and understand written product manuals and apply that knowledge in servicing related equipment within guidelines.
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record and be insurable.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment, displaying a strong work ethic and integrity.
- Technical school, vocational training, military technical training, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field service, electronics repair, ATM service, computer repair, electromechanical equipment repair, or related technical field preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, networking, software, or electronic systems preferred.
- Experience with ATM, ITM, TCR, cash handling equipment, coin processing equipment, or related banking technology is highly desirable.
- Construction, rigging, moving, installation, or equipment relocation experience preferred.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements.
