Job Summary

Install commercial overhead door systems, dock levelers, and seals while troubleshooting malfunctions and recommending repairs. Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts, including tune-ups, oil changes, and battery replacements. Coordinate problem resolution with managers and customers to expedite fixes, document all work via work orders and estimates, and manage service truck inventory. Operate lifts, winches, and rigging equipment to replace springs, openers, and brackets at heights. Maintain customer relationships and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
One-year previous experience installing commercial doors
Must have a mechanical aptitude
Welding and fabrication skills
Knowledge and ability to properly utilize a variety of hand and power tools
Utilize sound decision making and problem-solving practices
Has experience with rigging and lifting equipment with cranes, forklifts, telehandler, etc.
Proper and safe use of company vehicles, comfortable towing and backing up trailers as well as securing loads with chains or straps as necessary
Work efficiently with others
Quick comprehension, flexible and punctual
High standard of quality and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited direct supervision after training
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
Capable of comfortably working at heights on scissor lift, ladders, scaffolding, etc.
Willingness to travel if necessary and work occasional overtime hours
Must have a valid drivers' license with a good driving record
Must be able to pass background checks and random drug screenings
Positive attitude and ability to comply with company policies and procedures
Must be able to stand and work for long hours with necessary tools and PPE
Able to perform physical labor including lifting/moving heavy objects up to 100 lbs., prolonged standing, sitting, bending, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and reaching
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various year-round weather conditions
Must be able to comply with all safety rules and regulations both within the company premises as well as on customer's jobsites, including client specific on-site training
Abide by all OSHA, DOT, and site-specific safety precautions
United States work authorization
