Job Summary
Produce disassembly and assembly information that positively impacts safety, efficiency, and profitability of dealer service operations. Use the Caterpillar Authoring (ACM) system to develop and electronically author service information types for delivery via SIS/SIS 2.0 to dealers and customers worldwide. Perform disassembly/assembly of Caterpillar equipment; comply with safety and contamination control processes; conduct complex research of engineering information and product service requirements; coordinate with Product Design/Support Engineers and various corporate systems; collaborate with product groups to ensure accurate service information for NPIs; photograph equipment and create graphics using 3D models for service information.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree OR at least 5 years of experience servicing/repairing heavy equipment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- 3+ years of experience servicing/repairing heavy equipment
- Experience with SIS2.0/SIS2GO
- Caterpillar authoring / technical writing experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate with Product Design/Support Engineers and other stakeholders
