Job Summary
Conduct HVAC installations under supervision while maintaining safety awareness and actively pursuing ongoing training. Communicate effectively with customers and supervisors to negotiate complex problems and deliver competent service solutions. Perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including standing, climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds in outdoor and mechanical rooms. Work in extreme weather conditions with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and high voltage risks. Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
- 5 years equivalent experience
- Ability to comprehend simple written and vocal instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages, as well as draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Valid driver's license
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
- Regular travel requirements with occasional overnight travel
Desired Qualifications
- EPA approved Universal Technician Certification
