Job Summary
The Service Foreman - Lead Diesel Technician/Mechanic is responsible for coordinating service shop workflow, supervising service technicians, managing customer repair orders, and ensuring high standards for quality and safety. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of heavy-duty truck experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to supervise and delegate tasks. Candidates must have a formal technical school degree or equivalent experience, with capabilities to work under pressure and manage service department activities.
Required Qualifications
- Formal technical school graduate certificate/degree (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 5 years heavy duty truck or related industry experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Ability to supervise employees and delegate work
- Ability to work under pressure while prioritizing tasks
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with both DOS and Windows based computer programs
- Experience with warranty guidelines, claim procedures and company policies
