Job Summary
Receives work assignments from the Service Manager and performs daily evaluation, failure diagnosis, and repair of thermal imaging products and systems. Employs knowledge of electronic theory, thermography, and optics while utilizing hand tools and electronic test equipment in an ESD-controlled bench environment. Executes software and firmware updates on camera products, documents all actions using the SAP PR1 Customer Service module and Oracle case management system, and provides timely progress reports to the local Service Manager. Periodically engages customers to explain complex technical issues and participates in ATEX/HazLoc and NFPA training. Requires standing and lifting objects up to 18 kg.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in an electronics/engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the electronics repair/assembly industry
- Demonstrated ability to operate electronic test equipment
- Demonstrated ability to navigate computer operating systems
- Demonstrated ability to navigate embedded programming languages
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese
- Ability to work at a bench
- Ability to work from a standing position for up to one hour at a time
- Compliance with Global Trade, ISO, ATEX, and NFPA directives
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual competence in English
