Service Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct high-quality service using vibration analysis and troubleshooting with SKF Connected Technologies, performing corrective actions like alignment and balancing. Maintain knowledge of SKF's Maintenance and Power Transmission portfolio while expanding competency in thermography, ultrasonic, and lubricant analysis. Prepare service reports on diagnosis and prognosis for customers, manage reporting logs and asset information via the SKF database, and initiate follow-ups on service enquiries. Provide technical support and training to internal and external clients, liaise with regional peers for continuous product support, and ensure availability of essential spare parts. Travel regularly to customer sites in West and East Malaysia on a pay-and-claim basis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, in the field of Mechanical or equivalent
- At least two years' experience in a similar role on sales or services using any modern condition monitoring products
- Knowledge across condition monitoring products and services
- Must be aware and comply with applicable safety regulations and standards
- Ability to follow and read work instructions, prints, schematics, drawings etc
- Good ability to communicate clearly and concisely, write legible proposal and agreement, business correspondence, and guidance notes
- Agile, sales-oriented, and pro-active
- Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Willing to travel regularly on pay-and-claim basis to customer sites with own transport within West Malaysia and arranged transport within East Malaysia
Desired Qualifications
- Certified vibration analyst Level I or II
- Troubleshooting skill
- General understanding of rotating machinery requirements and standards
- Ability to draft and make schematics or drawings
