Job Summary
Service Engineer for The Ace Group/Ingersoll Rand to maintain and install compressed air systems for UK customers, including air compressors, air treatment, control systems, FGAS refrigeration, and nitrogen generation. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and installation, diagnosing and repairing faults, ensuring health and safety compliance, keeping accurate work records, collaborating with team members, providing technical support to customers, conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Required competencies include experience maintaining compressed air systems, strong attention to quality, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to travel between branches. Qualifications include a Level 3 engineering background (preferred), a full UK driving licence, and computer literacy; travel between branches within the Ingersoll Rand Group is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline is preferred but not essential.
- Full UK Driving licence
- Computer literate
- Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Fully site based with travel between various branches within the Ingersoll Rand Group.
- Key Competencies
- Experience in maintaining compressed air systems is essential. Applications are invited from Compressed Air Technicians with a minimum of 5 years of experience but applicants with less experience will be considered
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in compressed air systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform work to high standards of quality
