Job Summary
Provide technical service and support to customers onsite and remotely using knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, system operations, programming, and diagnosing equipment problems. Install components and solutions offered by Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation, including calibrating, tuning, rebuilding, and maintaining customer equipment in the field. Support in-house diagnostics systems and present value-added services such as CloudCNC, extended warranties, and machine tuning to help accomplish uptime goals. Promote spare parts sales and enter all technical claims, service activities, and customer inquiries into the database while maintaining data integrity. Cooperate with Senior Engineers for instruction and support. This role requires 60-80% travel within the Dayton/Mason/Cincinnati region and a BSEE or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Position is based out of Mason, Ohio facility
- Service the greater Dayton/Mason/Cincinnati areas
- 60-80% travel, mostly within region
- BSEET or equivalent related experience
- Some experience in field service for industrial automation
- Knowledgeable on electrical and mechanical tools for machine repair
- Mechanical aptitude
- Hands-on knowledge of volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other test / measuring equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation: schematics, logic, procedures, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organization skills for arranging travel plans and service call schedule
- Flexibility to travel with limited notice to meet customer's expectations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Computerized Numeric Controls (CNC's) products
- Experience with robots and how they operate
- Experience in motion controllers and programmable logic controllers (PLC's)
- Experience in field service
