Job Summary
Service Engineer II IS role (Remote) within Providence's Enterprise Information Services. Collaborates with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to IS, non-IS and clinical caregivers. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, 2+ years of related experience, and hands-on experience with automation, deployment/recovery, n-tier solutions, and resilience modeling. The position emphasizes contributing to automated and manual outage simulations, and is positioned within a patient-focused culture that supports healthcare delivery systems. Preferred: experience in a Healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 or more years of related experience
- Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- Experience with n-tier solutions
- Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)
