Service Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct category inspections onsite per API RP 4G standards, inspecting and supervising the quality of structural and piping components. Provide Structural, Mechanical, and/or Piping Drafting & Engineering support. Responsibilities include resolving structural and piping system issues, producing drawings and layouts, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting onsite service jobs such as API inspections and rig surveys. The role requires knowledge of structural industry standards and effective communication with customers and teams.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in an Engineering discipline (Civil/structural or mechanical)
- five (5) + experience in structural and/or piping fabrication and repairs
- five (5) + years’ experience working on oil drilling rigs (onshore and offshore)
- Ability to read piping one-line and isometric drawings
- Excellent analytical skills
- Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Ability to take initiative and be accountable for own decisions and actions
- Ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels to coordinate tasks effectively
Desired Qualifications
- American Welding Society – Certified Welding Inspector is a plus
- ASNT Level II or III or CSWIP 3.1 or higher is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, any 3-D software is a plus
- Preferably proficient in written and reading comprehension of English
