Service Engineer – Analytical Instruments

Job Summary
Performs installations, repairs, and maintenance on laboratory instruments including HPLC, GC, and spectrophotometers; calibrates equipment to ensure safe and accurate operations; documents calibration activities, repairs, and product failures; provides technical support and training to customers on operation and maintenance; serves as customer contact for instrument-related issues; travels to customer sites to install, maintain, calibrate, and support instrumentation; contributes to development of preventative maintenance procedures (IQ, OQ, PQ) and test protocols; analyzes test data, assists with modifications, and trains clients on proper usage and safety; requires hands-on work with electronic and mechanical components, and continuous skill enhancement through manufacturer certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation or Chemistry preferred
- 3 years related technical experience required
- Experience in preventive maintenance, IQ/OQ/PQ, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration to analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, Spectrophotometer) and related equipment
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret test data
