Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments by performing service calls, installing wiring, and replacing panels and breakers. Read schematics and blueprints to execute preventative maintenance inspections while ensuring all work complies with NEC codes and OSHA safety standards. Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues and costs, complete service reports, and maintain organized tool inventory. Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours rotations, and coordinate with dispatch and project managers for efficient delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial or light industrial electrical service, maintenance, or repair
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, NEC code requirements, and safety standards
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license
- Experience working in occupied commercial or industrial facilities
