Job Summary
Receive service requests via phone, email, and internal systems, then gather customer, equipment, and urgency details. Prioritize calls based on safety, impact, availability, and parts needs before scheduling local or traveling technicians, deliveries, and installations. Coordinate routes to minimize travel, confirm site availability, and communicate delays or arrival times. Prepare work orders with equipment history and instructions, ensuring shop and purchasing teams have necessary materials. Arrange lodging and travel for overnight assignments while monitoring open calls and following up on documentation completion. Maintain calendars, equipment records, and maintenance schedules to track repeat calls and outstanding repairs. Assist customers professionally during equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in dispatching, logistics, service coordination, scheduling, transportation, customer service, or office administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing schedules
- Professional telephone and email communication
- Ability to remain calm when customers or technicians are under pressure
- Good judgment when prioritizing service calls
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, drivers, purchasing, and management
- Based at Chemtek's Yanceyville facility
- Primarily Monday through Friday
- Some early or late communication may occasionally be required when technicians are traveling or completing customer installations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CRM, ERP, dispatching, work-order, or scheduling software
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, calendars, and business software
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, trucking, construction, asphalt, manufacturing, or field service
