Job Summary
Greet members and guests upon arrival and departure, monitor club access, and answer phone calls and questions. Handle member and guest complaints, give tours to prospects, and sell memberships by writing agreements and entering new members into the database. Operate the Point-of-Sale system to collect balances on past due accounts, schedule fitness training appointments, and answer guidance questions for new employees. Organize and maintain the customer service front desk, complete the Club Walk-Around every 20 minutes with checklists, and perform beginning and end-of-shift procedures. Conduct thorough housekeeping including cleaning equipment, hydromassage beds, showers, and floors, replenish supplies, empty trash, and maintain the cleaning closet. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Basic computer literacy
- Must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, and reach
- Must be able frequently move, lift, push, pull, carry at least 60 lbs.
- Must be able to operate equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers
- Must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand and must be able to exchange accurate information
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work well independently and with others
- Ability to recognize and learn from mistakes
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
- Accuracy with numbers
- Excellent phone, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Understand and be able to communicate the Judgment Free Zone concept
- Must be able to recognize, identify, and judge behavior within environment
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred
- Previous cleaning/maintenance experience preferred
