Job Summary
Oversee the delivery of Managed Detection and Response services to clients in Austria, ensuring high-quality service delivery, translating SOC investigations into actionable recommendations, and maintaining SLAs. Collaborate with Security Operations, pre-sales, and client teams; provide reporting on performance, incident trends, and risks; guide onboarding of new clients; and communicate complex investigation outcomes in German and English. Includes training in NVISO methodologies and stakeholder management, with a focus on security monitoring, detection engineering, and operational improvements. Fluent German and English required; hybrid work in Vienna with flexible arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Security Operations activities
- Proven experience handling security alerts and incidents, including triage, investigation, escalation, and coordination of response activities
- Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, and the practical challenges of detection and response in customer environments
- Excellent German and English communication skills (C1)
- Experience with ITIL or other service delivery frameworks is an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST CSF is an advantage
- Experience in service delivery management or customer-facing cybersecurity roles is a strong advantage
- Project management experience is a nice to have, but not a core requirement
