Job Summary
Service Delivery Engineer – Commercial Items focuses on creating, maintaining, and ensuring quality of engineering and commercial item master data across ERP/PLM/CAD systems, with responsibilities including item master data lifecycle management, data validation, and collaboration with engineering and supply chain teams. The role entails working with ERP/PLM/PDM systems (Infor LN/Baan, SAP, PDM), handling item classifications and metadata, software tools like CATIA/SolidWorks/3DEXPERIENCE, CAD data enrichment, CAD-driven documentation, SOPs, and process documentation, while escalating data issues and supporting cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- 5–7 years of experience in engineering data, item master data, or related support roles
- Hands-on experience with mechanical components and industrial parts
- Working knowledge of ERP, PLM, or PDM systems and item/BOM structures
- Exposure to 3D CAD tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and 3D models
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and procurement processes
- Experience in engineering-driven industries (e.g., Industrial Machinery, Energy, Pulp & Paper) is an advantage
- Basic exposure to SQL or scripting is a plus but not mandatory
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation
- Willingness to follow defined processes and standards consistently
- Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn
- Ability to work effectively in global and cross-functional teams
- Comfortable taking guidance from senior engineers and specialists
- Good time management and ability to handle routine service requests efficiently
