Job Summary
Meet with developmental disability customers at their homes to ascertain needs, determine required services, and make recommendations based on individual goals. Take initial service requests, enter information into the computer system, and arrange specialized services with providers to ensure desired outcomes. Conduct monthly or quarterly meetings to evaluate service effectiveness, identify new problems, and intervene when crises arise. Act as the primary customer contact, resolving issues between providers and consumers while advocating for client satisfaction. Operate a vehicle with a valid Texas driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college/university
- One year of experience working with Intellectual Developmental Disability Population
- Current State of Texas Driver License or current license in another state with ability to obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment
- Acceptable driving record
- Basic math skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to utilize Internet for resources
- Liability insurance if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business
- Must be insurable by Centers liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in preferred list of fields with 0 years of experience
- Prefer experience with Askesis
- Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college/university in the field of: social, behavioral, human services
- Bilingual
