Job Summary
Service Coordinator III, PDM & Governance & ERSEA position responsible for delivering Head Start/EHSCCP services to children birth to five, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating governance participation, and managing enrollment and attendance. Leads communication across parent committees and governing bodies, prepares required reports (e.g., annual program information report, self-assessment, audits, and monitoring), supports ERSEA activities (eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, attendance), analyzes ERSEA data for compliance and efficiency, and writes program proposals and reports. Oversees day-to-day center operations and collaborates with staff to align services with the Social Determinants of Health through trauma-informed care. Requires strong communication, collaboration, and program management skills, experience with Head Start standards, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities (desirable). Education: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, child growth and development, or related human service field; CPR/First Aid; CLASS Reliability within 6 months; 0-2 years or more experience in the field; knowledge of Head Start and related regulations; familiarity with ChildPlus and Microsoft Office; 0-5 age experience; willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, child growth and development, or related human service field with 18 college hours of Early Childhood Development, minimum of two (2) years experience; Master’s degree preferred
- Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification
- Within 6 months of hire, complete and maintain CLASS Reliability
- Experience in collaborative relationships, organization and planning
- Previous program management and direct services leadership experience
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Act, and Texas Department of Family Protective Services Minimum Rules and Standards
- Familiar with ChildPlus, Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets and databases; basic understanding of database systems
- Experience working with children 0-5 years old
- Demonstrated knowledge of agency and community resources; culturally sensitive
- Fluent in English and Spanish desirable
- Certificate or license as applicable by state agency
- State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance as applicable
