Job Summary
Conduct screening and assessment for adults and adolescents with substance use issues, determine appropriate in-patient or outpatient treatment, and refer clients to external agencies. Schedule appointments for OSAR services, manage waiting lists for in-patient treatment, and provide follow-up for out-patient clients. Enter data in CMBHS timely, submit client reports and time sheets to Administration, and coordinate services with probation departments and courts. Maintain ethical communications using Trauma-Informed Care language, attend required training, and work the on-call rotation while utilizing verbal PMAB, CPR, and First Aid as needed.
Required Qualifications
- LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) license to qualify as a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) in the state of Texas
- License must be current and in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE)
- Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Employees may be required to utilize their personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA)
