Job Summary
Lead, direct, and oversee employees at the service center while managing the hiring process for office and driver staffing. Drive company KPIs, monitor and meet profit and loss goals, and measure operational metrics to ensure compliance with local, federal, and state regulations. Train and develop drivers and operations staff, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and direct transportation activities to maintain efficiency and profitability. Collaborate with maintenance and equipment cleaning functions, third-party vendors, and safety/HR departments on compliance and disciplinary matters. After hours and weekend work as needed. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Personal liability insurance coverage at or above the legal state of residence minimum requirements
- Ability to delegate and direct work to personnel
- Excellent communication with all employees, direct or indirect
- Effective communication with customers and independent contractors
- Effectively manages employee relations
- Excellent customer service
- Strong organizational skills
- Sound independent judgement and problem solving
- Occasional travel as needed
- After hours and weekend work as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Transportation, maintenance, and/or equipment cleaning experience
- Tenure and experience at Highway Transport
