Service Center Clerk II (Full Time)

Job Summary
Handle freight-related clerical tasks and customer communications in a fast-paced service center. Responsibilities include answering high-volume calls, maintaining records for OS&D freight, preparing paperwork and bills for movement, coordinating delivery times, tracing shipments, addressing billing or service complaints, and providing proof of delivery. Requires strong clerical skills, proficiency with MS Word/Excel (AS400 preferred), attention to detail in billing and documentation, ability to lift ~20 lbs, and successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks. Must be able to work in a team-oriented, high-volume environment and communicate effectively with customers and internal departments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- AS400 experience strongly preferred
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs.
- Experience in billing, collections, tracing & OS&D preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team and meet deadlines
- Comfort with high-volume environment and multiple priorities
