Job Summary
Receives payment for service, sales, and body shop transactions while maintaining customer satisfaction. Greets customers at the cashier window, invoices repair orders, and processes cash, checks, and credit card payments for car deals, service invoices, and body shop records. Makes change, issues receipts, and reconciles the cash drawer daily. Handles customer complaints with integrity, closes open invoices, and refers inquiries to service advisors. Codes and posts repairs to vehicles in inventory and assists with notifying customers that their vehicles are ready. Cross-trains for other business office tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- three to six months related experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals on an adding machine
- Ability to compute percentage rates on an adding machine
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
