Job Summary
Install and support fire alarm, intrusion, and access control systems on commercial project sites, performing full installations including panels, wiring, and end devices. Pull, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling while reading blueprints and project documentation to ensure accurate system commissioning. Troubleshoot issues and maintain daily work records, collaborating with project teams and leads throughout extended travel periods of 1–3 weeks. Maintain tools and safety standards while working in retail, office, warehouse, and industrial environments.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Alarm Technician installing fire alarm, security, and access control systems
- Strong background in project-based installations rather than short service calls
- Experience working in commercial environments including retail, office, warehouse, or industrial facilities
- Knowledge of alarm panels such as Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Bosch, DSC, and Honeywell
- Ability to work away from home for 1–3 weeks at a time depending on project demand
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- State-required licenses where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Lift and confined space certifications are a plus
