Job Summary
Greet customers promptly, listen to concerns, and conduct vehicle walk-arounds to accurately document repair requests. Explain recommended maintenance and repairs in clear language, then create complete repair orders while verifying warranty eligibility and obtaining customer history. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work, monitor progress, and deliver completed vehicles after reviewing repairs and future maintenance recommendations. Resolve customer concerns professionally, process payments, and schedule service appointments to meet dealership sales objectives and CSI goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Strong computer and keyboard skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Sales and customer service aptitude
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair terminology
- Ability to interpret manufacturer maintenance schedules
- Familiarity with warranty administration
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions on the service drive
- Occasional overtime, evenings, or Saturdays based on dealership operating hours
Desired Qualifications
- Previous automotive service advisor experience
- Knowledge of CDJR and GM vehicle systems
- Dealertrack experience
