Job Summary
Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, coordinating with technicians and parts personnel, opening and managing work orders, providing repair estimates, communicating repair status updates, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the service process. Responsibilities include advising service personnel, overseeing work-order closing, maintaining customer relations, providing technical support, maintaining safety and adherence to policies, preparing documentation (work orders, parts lists, timecards), following manufacturer guidance, and developing a strong customer service relationship while maintaining punctual attendance. Requires an Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related field and 10-15 years of directly related experience in compact equipment repair; diesel and hydraulic repair experience and related certifications; ability to operate service software; ability to lift light weights; and strong communication, teamwork, and safety mindset. Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho (USA).
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Minimum of 10-15 years of directly related experience in compact equipment repair, preferably in a heavy industrial environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Diesel and Hydraulic Repair Experience and Related Certifications
