Job Summary
Greet customers and provide timely, professional service; identify service needs through effective questioning; write up work orders and coordinate repair activities to ensure repairs are completed right the first time and on schedule; obtain written approval on repair orders and add-on charges; inspect finished repairs for accuracy and price; recognize repeat customers and tailor service accordingly; communicate status of work to customers; document repair order changes; eliminate surprises by reviewing repairs and charges with customers; engage in upselling appropriate services and supporting promotional activities; maintain records, monitor inventory, and uphold safety and environmental practices while supporting the Service Manager and service-center operations.
Required Qualifications
- Some College or automotive/vocational training preferred
- 2 years in an automotive service environment preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Valid in-state driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to use computer and calculator
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts
- Professional personal appearance
- Must be able to pass background and drug screen checks
