Job Summary
Schedule service appointments, obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival, and greet guests in a timely, friendly manner. Provide complete written cost estimates for labor and parts, establish promised times, and check repair progress throughout the day. Contact customers regarding estimate changes or time requirements, explain cost and time details, and secure authorization before additional repairs. Test-drive vehicles or refer to technicians as necessary, while advising customers on proper vehicle care and maintenance according to manufacturer specifications. Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index ratings comparable to manufacturer, zone, or branch averages and adhere to dealership standards for hours per repair order. Follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know, and report all accidents immediately to a supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Two years of experience in a dealership position
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
- Professional personal appearance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
- All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license
Desired Qualifications
