Job Summary
Coordinate all customer contact for the Service Department, including repair estimates, appointments, and authorization requests. Generate, monitor, and close all repair orders while calculating labor charges and reconciling invoices. Assist the Service Manager in managing department records, files, and daily open orders, ensuring timely completion and resolving parts delays. Maintain up-to-date technical literature, process workers' compensation claims, and control the service department cash box. Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories during customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods
- Ability to identify and meet Customer needs and requirements
- Hard worker and a self-starter and a problem solver
- Organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Exceptional phone and customer service skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must wear a dealership uniform
- Must be able to climb in and out of customer's vehicles to record information
