Job Summary
Provide customer-focused automotive service as a Service Advisor in a dealership setting. Responsibilities include actively listening to customer concerns, diagnosing vehicle issues with clear explanations and repair recommendations, coordinating and scheduling service appointments, maintaining detailed service records and repair orders, and promoting additional services. Collaborate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely repairs, upsell when appropriate, and uphold dealership standards and paperwork accuracy. ASE certification or similar technical credentials are a plus; prior automotive service-advisor experience is highly preferred; strong communication and computer skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive systems; ASE certification or similar credentials is a plus.
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate with technicians, parts department, and colleagues.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in automotive service software and basic computer applications.
