Service Advisor - GMC Cadillac of Fort Walton Beach

The Service Advisor greets customers on the drive, listens to the described vehicle problems or services, determines required services, and prepares repair orders. They estimate additional costs for unlisted repairs, advise on other available services, and obtain customer approval. Responsibilities include walking around the vehicle with the client to identify issues, conferring with customers about inspection results, documenting service details on the repair order, handling declines, obtaining signatures for approved work, describing charges to customers, updating customers on vehicle progress, verifying customer and vehicle data, and coordinating payment and repair order closure. They may work in the Service and/or Express Department and are expected to maintain customer satisfaction, participate in quality control, and acquire manufacturer training as needed. Essential skills include organization, problem-solving, prioritization, integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to interpret safety and maintenance documents. The role requires related experience or training and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening, with manufacturer training and additional certifications as applicable.
