Job Summary
Service Advisor at Dobbs Truck Group to initiate and process requests for repair services and provide administrative support to the Service Department. Responsibilities include collecting customer complaint details, performing vehicle walk-around inspections, on-the-spot diagnostics, advising customers on vehicle care per manufacturer specs, writing up vehicle problems in Decisiv, obtaining signatures, establishing promised times, determining payment methods and credit approval if needed, creating repair orders, tracking repair progress, and communicating changes to customers with cost/time details and proper authorization for additional repairs. Requires high school diploma or GED (or 1 year of experience), ability to learn the heavy-duty truck repair trade, strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills, and intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Required Qualifications
