Service Advisor

Job Summary
Greet customers promptly, obtain vehicle information, and clearly report symptoms described by the customer. Determine maintenance needs based on age, mileage, and history, then prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and parts. Establish follow-up times, monitor repair progress throughout the day, and update customers frequently. Verify invoice reconciliation with the repair order, explain all completed work and charges, and set up loaner cars as needed. Confirm insurance before maintenance is scheduled. This role requires a minimum of one year in the service department and the ability to lift 50 pounds while working on your feet for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
- Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
