Job Summary
Schedule service for customers in person or by phone to ensure prompt and accurate diagnosis of vehicle problems. Make repair recommendations and manage delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations. Ensure required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations while enforcing all safety policies and procedures. Attend staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required to educate new staff members. Perform other duties as assigned. This role requires a high school diploma, one year of dealer-level experience, and an unrestricted driver's license. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Unrestricted driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
- ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
- Highly professional and dependable
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles is a Plus!
- Basic computer and internet skills
