Job Summary
Service Advisor role responsible for diagnosing automotive problems based on customer descriptions, verifying warranty coverage, developing repair estimates, and preparing repair orders. The position requires maintaining customer rapport, obtaining approvals and contact information, updating service records, and contributing to department knowledge through ongoing education. The role includes handling estimates, explaining provisions and exclusions of warranties and service contracts, and performing other duties as assigned. Key skills include strong in-person and written communication, ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle, and utilization of dealership software (DMS/ADP). Minimum 1 year Service Advisor experience is required. Education requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screen; valid U.S. driver's license; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks; attention to detail and organization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years Service Advisor experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate an automobile, including one with manual transmission
- Valid U.S. Driver's license
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Clean driving record
- Detail-oriented and well organized
- Experience with ADP or similar Dealer Management Systems preferred
- Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, and walking
