Job Summary
Under the direction of the Equipment Manager, serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding service requests, inquiries, and concerns about mining equipment maintenance or repairs. Communicate effectively with service personnel to understand needs, provide technical advice, and ensure satisfaction with service outcomes. Provide accurate updates on repair status, parts availability, and estimated completion times. Schedule and coordinate service appointments for preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Work closely with technicians, parts suppliers, and the Procurement Team to ensure timely execution and availability of resources. Collaborate with technical teams to determine repair scope and align with manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate records of parts usage, inventory levels, and supplier orders. Ensure all service activities adhere to safety protocols and report hazards promptly. This is a safety-sensitive full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8 hrs/day) located at the Alex & Alice Boucher Fort McKay Industrial Park north of Fort McMurray, AB. Pre-employment testing is required.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a High School Diploma, or a GED equivalent
- A valid Class 5 License (or equivalent)
- satisfactory 3-year Drivers Abstract
- Proficiency in service management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a Service Advisor, Technician or internal service support role within the mining, construction or heavy equipment industry
- Strong understanding of mining equipment systems (e.g., loaders, excavators, haul trucks, crushers) repairs and their maintenance needs, and automotive fleet maintenance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions for equipment issues, with a strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple service requests, schedules, and parts inventory
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a mining or heavy machinery environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including good oral, written communication, and listening skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and multitask, as well as work effectively in a team environment
- Completion of pre-employment/pre-access testing
