Job Summary
Greet customers promptly, schedule appointments, and communicate vehicle needs to determine mechanical problems. Obtain customer and vehicle data, test-drive vehicles if necessary, and advise on car care per manufacturer specifications. Provide estimates for labor and parts, explain additional work including costs and time, and establish promised repair times. Maintain accurate repair orders, obtain signatures, and follow up on work throughout the day while handling phone inquiries. Deliver vehicles, answer questions, and ensure quality control to reduce comebacks. Refer leads to the sales department and keep service managers informed of issues. Maintain CSI ratings and stay updated on technical information for all serviced vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to follow federal, state, and local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education or training in automotive service
- Previous experience in a service advisor or similar role in a dealership
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair procedures
