Job Summary
Greet and serve YOTEL Boston guests at the lobby Vela Restaurant and 12th-floor Signature Deck 12, entering orders into the POS and answering menu questions accurately. Prepare beverages, monitor alcohol consumption, and check identification when requested. Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and bar, restock items, and return equipment to ensure the next shift is ready. Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and cash handling policies while complying with state and federal alcohol service requirements. Work weekday and weekend shifts, managing up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Multiple years of serving experience
- Strong cocktail knowledge base
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a sense of calm
- Organizational skills
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Pro-active with a 'can do' positive attitude
- Great attention to detail in everything that they do
- Sociable and confident with each other and our guests
- Friendly, warm and welcoming always
- Professional in their outlook, taking pride in their appearance, performance and reputation
- Takes responsibility for their actions and those of the wider team
- Like to own problems and find solutions for the benefit of the guests and teams alike
