Job Summary
Server position at The Friendly Toast requiring experience as a server, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication, flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, and passing the Responsible Service of Alcohol test. Primary duties include serving three to four tables as determined by management, maintaining knowledge of food and beverage preparation, upselling alcohol and food items, using a computer to ring orders, engaging with guests in a friendly and efficient manner, handling payments, maintaining side-work and restaurant cleanliness, clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be able to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
- Serve three to four tables, as determined by management
- Have complete knowledge of The Friendly Toast’s food and beverage preparation
- Ability to sell alcohol and food items
- Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check
- Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- Able to accept different types of payment and make change
- Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Ability to clear and reset tables
- If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guest’s behavior, count number of drinks served, and if the server feels they should not drive, offer a taxi
