Job Summary
Server role at Waldhaus Restaurant within Fairmont Banff Springs. Responsibilities include completing daily operations (opening/closing duties, stocking, cleaning), greeting guests and coordinating with colleagues regarding preferences and allergies, maintaining knowledge of all menu items and preparation methods, applying upselling and suggestive selling techniques to drive outlet revenue, maintaining accurate billing and cash handling, and performing other duties as assigned. Candidates must have Pro-Serve Certification, a minimum of 2 years’ server experience in a high-volume environment, POS experience, and extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktails. Ability to carry and serve 3 plates at once, lift up to 40+ lbs, and a flexible schedule (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays) are required. Required Qualifications
- Pro-Serve Certification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Server in a high-volume and fast paced environment
- Previous point-of-sale system experience
- Extensive wine, beer and cocktail knowledge
- Must be able to carry and serve 3 plates at one time
- Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
