Job Summary
Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner, providing immediate attention upon seating and describing specials while answering menu questions. Takes orders, delivers food promptly after preparation, and follows established systems for cocktail service and tray service. Follows-up with guests to ensure satisfaction, replenishes items as needed, and maintains an organized workstation. Accountable for checks and cash transactions using the Point of Sales System. Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests, and completes opening and closing side work including cleaning plateware, glassware, and dining areas. Requires ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
- Ability to read and speak English
- Knowledge of POS system
- Food Safety and Sanitation Training
- Alcohol Awareness Training
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to be present for all pre-shift meetings
- Ability to maintain cleanliness of work areas (plateware, glassware, dining areas, etc) throughout the shift
- Ability to ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
