Job Summary
Take orders from patrons for food or beverages and explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Serve food or beverages to guests, collect payments, and communicate orders including special food requests to kitchen staff. Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals, correct any problems, and verify identification for alcohol consumption. Clean tables or counters, sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpet, and tidy up server stations. Stock service areas with supplies, fill condiment containers, and set up dining areas for large parties.
Required Qualifications
- Spirit exemplifying a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with food runners, bussers, cooks, bartenders, and other venue staff
- Respect exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to handle money accurately and operate point of sale systems
- Excellence in strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good attitude towards teamwork
- Own it with your ability to exceed customer expectations
- Be able to be motivational and positive
