Job Summary
Greet residents and families, take orders, and deliver food while pouring beverages. Prepare dining room tables with special attention to detail, ensuring cleanliness and safety by adhering to sanitation and alcohol beverage control policies. Assist residents in selecting food and beverages, present menus, and explain chefs' daily specials. Support special events as needed and perform other front-of-house tasks assigned by the supervisor. Maintain a clean uniform and professional presentation throughout the shift. This part-time role offers flexible day shifts Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Koelsch Communities, a third-generation family-owned senior living operator, provides a positive environment with opportunities for growth within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Positive impersonal skills
- A food handler's card
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift 15 pounds
- Customer service experience
- Must be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
- Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality
- Must be an honest and dependable individual
- Must maintain proper hygiene
- Must be professional in dress and presentation
- Must be willing to be active during entire work shift
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in Standard English
- Must be a mature individual
- Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be detail and team work oriented
- Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements
- Passed an approved food handler's or ServSafe course as required by County, State and/or Community policy
- Must abide by the Community dress code policy
- This role is a 100% on-site role
- Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change
- Must uphold community dress policy
- Must be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large
- Must display and use own good judgement and initiative in daily duties
Desired Qualifications
- Earn between $17.50 and $18/hour, dependent on experience
