Job Summary
Serve as the primary guide for each guest by managing a designated section of tables throughout every service period. Take and input orders correctly while recommending food and beverage pairings and highlighting house specialties. Maintain a comfortable and clean tabletop, graciously handle payments, and answer questions about menu options. Follow specific beverage recipes according to Garces Group standards and adhere to written and verbal instructions while working in a fast-paced atmosphere. Perform other related tasks designated by management, including standing or walking during an entire 8-10-hour shift.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift plates up to 20 lbs., approximately 20 feet sometimes involving stairs
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to stand or walk during an entire 8-10-hour shift
Desired Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
- Ability to have a friendly demeanor when present in the restaurant
- Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while keeping a professional demeanor
- Demonstrates ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
